A Legacy of Strength, Igniting the Future

The journey of The WOMEN IN SECURITY Documentary has already struck a powerful chord. Our first major screening in Chicago—with Executive Producer Richard Ticho and Director Yvette Freeman in attendance—opened to a full house, where attendees were visibly moved by the candid voices and inspiring stories of the women who are reshaping the security industry. The post-film dialogue allowed many of the 14 on-screen participants present to share personal reflections with the audience, creating an unforgettable moment of authenticity and connection.

This powerful event was made possible through the generous support of SJA Leader in Security and DTEX Systems, whose commitment to innovation and inclusion in security helped bring the Chicago premiere to life.

“The Women in Security Documentary is more than a film. It is a powerful testament to visibility, representation, and the strength of our community across every dimension of security… It beautifully showcased the impactful roles women play in the security industry.”Debbie Reynolds, “The Data Diva”

“Honored to attend the Women in Security Documentary premiere Thursday night in downtown Chicago — showcasing the inspiring journeys of 21 incredible women in the security industry. The stories shared were raw, real, and deeply motivating. Hearing how these women broke into all areas of security — physical, law enforcement, and cyber — and persevered through challenges was truly moving. It was more than just a film; it was a moment of community, recognition, and pride. Thank you for the conversations before and after the screening and for the reminder that our stories matter. If you haven't heard of the Women in Security Documentary yet, keep an eye out. It's one to watch.”Gina Yacone, CISO

“Last Thursday, I had the honor of attending the world premiere of the Women in Security Documentary. Produced by Richard Ticho and directed by Yvette Freeman, this movie explores the great strides and fantastic contributions of women in the male-dominated security industry. Diversity is not just about gender. It is about how people think, mindset, approach, and experience. The documentary did a great job of delving into this and exploring the incredible value that diverse teams bring to the profession. It was amazing to see the packed AMC Theater venue in Chicago and hear the audience reaction to the interviews and other segments. Congratulations to all the people who participated in putting this together including the Advisory Board, Producers, Interviewees and all of the crew!”Christopher Stitt, CEO

“Every security conference should wrap with a viewing of the Women in Security Documentary. It was a powerful and inspiring close to an exceptional day spent with colleagues and allies in the security community.”Lisa Oliveri, Global Security & Operations Leader

Building Momentum in San Diego

The momentum continued in San Diego, where Richard Ticho and Yvette Freeman once again joined attendees for another sold-out screening. This event drew not only cast and industry leaders but also key contributors to the project, including Anne Saita, Kyle Wright, and Kennard Ramsey, along with members of the film’s crew, makeup, and wardrobe team. Their presence made the evening a true celebration of collaboration and craft.

We are deeply grateful to the ASIS International San Diego Chapter, Vicon Industries, Grah Security, and Axis Communications for their sponsorship and support of this screening. Their partnership helped shine a spotlight on the resilience, brilliance, and leadership of the women featured in the film.

“It was incredibly inspiring to see women from so many different sectors of the security industry represented in the Women in Security Documentary. Hearing their stories and seeing their impact truly energized me. It makes me even more excited to begin my own career in cybersecurity. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible.”Caroline Moore, Cybersecurity Graduate Student
